First Year Arc

How does it feel being a first year medical student ?

Well for others it may be filled with admiration and respect because we're lucky(or unfortunate) enough to get a placement ,to be 'chosen' .What others don't see are those tears you get failing a paper ,or when everyone keeps on going a pace you couldn't keep , or when they told you are not doing enough , even when you are doing all the best you can trying and trying so that you won't fail in meeting their expectations.

Have you ever thought you are just a frog in a well ? all this time you were a bright student, you can even count  the hours you took studying  or you cannot even remember how many times you played because you did it so many time. But being here , it hit you fast that you are just mediocre , you are not even worth a dim ,you put an all nighter just to beat the top student but you can barely touch them .You are just you. When you realize this ,it is when you truly shine .You should never compare Naruto and One Piece the same way you should never compare yourself to others .

Being here means cramming the whole 95 hours worth of lecture in just a mere two weeks and well not to forget another 30++ hours of practical that we tend to overlook because we are used to exam orientated that all of the previous practical during our school years worth nothing .Even if you did study everyday the whole semester , it won't grant you the passing ticket ,it never did ,you need more than that. A friend of mine didn't sleep for two days during finals because that is how frightening it is to fail. The funny thing is even when he was warded he studied his way in the ward .would you make the same sacrifice ? would you throw away your time ,your health just to pass an exam so that when you become a doctor you'd throw away your health, your time just to treat people the same way you did during medical years ? . If it is a yes , you are ready , ready to take on this journey , this long way .
well throwback to our first semester's moment?
